December 27, 2019: The fourth season of India’s first and biggest news quiz is all set to wrap up with its much-awaited Grand Finale on 28th Dec. With a phenomenal on-ground engagement with more than 20,000 prodigal minds of the nation, News Wiz Season 4 has made a mark across India. The competition is tougher than ever as the Grand Finale nears and India’s sharpest three teams vie to bag the prestigious title of News Wiz 2019.

News Wiz—the only news quiz show on Indian TV—pioneered its journey in 2016. Marking the 4th edition milestone, the show has become one of the most sought-after quiz shows in the country and has provided a national platform to the brilliant minds of tomorrow. Thousands of schools from across the country have applied in the past, hoping to be represented at a national level and to let their students test their mettle. In Season 4, News Wiz engaged with over 750 schools, reaching out to more than 2 lakh students in the process – with each team consisting of a pair of students.

Rajdeep Sardesai, one of the most eminent journalists of the nation, who is a quiz aficionado himself, is the host of the show. Wild card entries were one of the added twists where a student team got another chance to make it to the televised rounds through the News Wiz Ground Fests. Rajdeep Sardesai selected these wildcard entries from on-ground events held across Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

The teams to qualify for the grand finale are Jodhamal Public School, Jammu; The Bishops School, Camp, Pune and The Aryan International School, Varanasi. Leaving behind other top schools of the nation, these teams will now be seen giving a nail-biting performance in the Grand Finale of News Wiz 2019 on Saturday, 28th December at 8 PM on India Today TV.

This grand finale will be more intense than ever, keeping the viewers glued to their screens till the last minute. Who will take home the coveted prize of News Wiz and become the pride of the nation? The much-awaited season finale is here and the competition is about to be more fierce than ever.
