Inde' Loom Kota Doria Kurti
Jaipur, January 9, 2020:
Inde’
Loom – The Hyderabad based social impact startup is known to
bring the looms of India to the whole world by intertwining the country’s rich
heritage with modern-day elements. Their new collection ‘Kota Doria’ retains
the same ethos by bringing to life an age-old Indian weaving style right from
the heart of kaithun in Kota, Rajasthan.
Inde’ Looms’ new
collection digs deep into history to make a style statement. Couple that with
the fact that Kota is one of the three fine count cotton-producing regions in
the northern part of India. So the quality and craftsmanship is par excellence.
The Sarees and Kurte is in this collection are a unique blend of cotton – it
provides strength to the fabric, and silk- it makes the Sarees and Kurties soft
and lustrous; authentically handmade in a square check pattern (khat). The
sheer texture, intricate detailing, painstaking fineness and feather-like
weight further add to the beauty of this collection.
On the launch of new collection Mr. Suren Chowdhary, Co-Founder Inde’ Loom said “We are excited to
bring the age-old Indian weave to the customers. We work directly with the
artisans and weavers across India and help them sell sarees in natural fibres
and soft cotton on online and offline platforms. With the aim to provide better
livelihood to the weavers, our team cross trains, up-skills, and educates them
to utilize various government schemes, which they may not be aware of. We look
forward to receive positive response from the residents of Rajasthan.”
The collection has been launched in the Pantone colour of 2020 –
Classic Blue by using Natural Indigo Dye extracted from leaves. The hand block
prints done by the artisans have further graced the outfit. The collection is
