Mumbai, February 2020: Legrand India, a part of the Legrand Group and specialist in the electrical and digital building infrastructure, today conducted a Students’ Connect Program for the winners of the UGAM– Legrand’s Scholarship program. This is an initiation to build a lasting relationship with the students and is an orientation about the industry, know-how from SMEs and gaining mentoring support from Legrand leadership team/employees. The Students Connect Program commenced today at Holiday Inn, Mumbai. Out of 125 girl scholars, 75 girl scholars and their parents attended the program. 

Legr and entered into the realm of education in 2018 with an objective to help girl students to pursue their higher education. This scholarship intends to assist the deserving girl students for pursuing engineering and architecture courses from recognised Indian universities. Under this program, Legrand is supporting academically promising girl students with a scholarship aid of 60% of course fee or upto INR 60,000 per annum. The winners are selected basis their merit and socio-economic background.The support is not limited to just financial assistance, but also extends to provide an all-round support throughout their academic period with various learning and mentoring opportunities.
