said, “We have received an overwhelming
response to Run for Her. Initially conceptualized as a run for around 1500
people, the registrations that we received surpassed our expectations. Having
Milind Soman lead the run encouraged a lot of participants to put their best
foot forward. At Dharav High School, sports is used to support the holistic
learning of our students. Mothers’ efforts at homes often go unnoticed. We
wanted to take this day to make kids understand and acknowledge the
contribution of mothers in their lives.”
Milind
Soman, actor, model and fitness-enthusiast led the run for
Dharav High School. In the past, Soman has contributed to several runs with a
cause. Talking about Run for Her, Milind
Soman said, “Our mothers are so busy taking care of us from the day we are
born, that they often forget about their own health. So, this Mother’s Day, we
made it about her, made it about her health just like, all our lives, she made
it about us.”
All participants were immensely satisfied after the run. A closing ceremony was held after the run at Dharav High School to thank the runners with medals for participating in the cause.
