Jaipur, January 27, 2023.

5-year-old Ruhaan Ahmad from Orchids The International School, Nevta, Jaipur enters Global Genius Records under World Records India and is one of the youngest in India to skate for one hour non-stop. Ruhan set the record in a multi-city event organized by All India Skating Coaches which witnessed participation from more than 2100 students. Ruhaan wore traditional Indian clothes while holding the Indian National Flag in hand while cruising his way to the new World Record.

Ruhan achieved this incredible feat under the mentorship of his coach Mr. Rahul Verma. “He has been training under me for almost a year. My next plan of action is to make Ruhaan participate in district-level competitions. He is a god-gifted talent and has magic on his feet. I strongly believe that he has the potential to reach the national level”, said Mr. Verma.

Ruhaan started learning to skate at the age of 4. He loves to do creative things. His father, Mr. Shahban Ahmad said, “Coming from an engineering background, I keep small unused gadgets at home. One day, I saw Ruhaan making tiny structures of a lawn or a stage and saying he would skate over it one day. Within a year, my son has achieved such a huge feat and I am so proud of him. The support from the school is amazing. We hope to see Ruhaan win and skate his way through to bring many more accolades and laurels for the state and the country.
