MUMBAI, MARCH 2023.
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest
hospitality company, announced that it would raise awareness about climate
change and the need to reduce carbon footprint by participating in Earth Hour
2023. All
IHCL hotels across India would observe a one hour switch-off of electricity
from 8:30 to 9.30 pm on 25th March, 2023.
Speaking on the occasion, Gaurav Pokhariyal, Executive Vice President, Human Resources, IHCL stated,”
IHCL has been participating in Earth Hour for many years with great enthusiasm.
This reflects our commitment towards environmental stewardship by integrating
sustainable practices as part of our daily operations. We are delighted to join
millions of people around the world in a symbolic gesture of support for a more
sustainable future.”
Additionally,
all IHCL hotels will offer interesting guest and employee engagement activities
such as star gazing, storytelling, dinners in the dark and pedal for the
planet.
In
line with its commitment to make a positive impact with an integrated approach
