NEW DELHI – 28^th MARCH’2024.

The election of the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts for electing members of the Committee of Administration is conducted by the Development Commissioner Handicraft, Government of India.

A returning officer and the election committee duly appointed by the Development Commissioner Handicraft, Government of India conducts the complete election process. The e-voting system is also conducted under their supervision by renowned national agency NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited). The agency is duly authorised by the company law board/ under the Companies Act and therefore it is mandatory to get the same done from one of such authorised agencies.

During the process of the election being recently held, it has been noticed that there are some technical glitches in the NSDL’s e-voting system. The matter was discussed in the office of Development Commissioner Handicraft, GoI under the Chairmanship of Sh. S.K. Jha, Sr Director, DC Handicrafts and decided to suspend the e-voting process. The fresh dates for holding the e-voting are being finalised at the earliest and will be intimated soon to all, informed Mr. Rajesh Rawat, Addl. Executive Director-cum-Secretary-EPCH.
