Girnar Foundation, the CSR arm of CarDekho Group, successfully
concluded the Second Edition of its flagship “Sow to Grow” initiative,
following the resounding success of its first edition last year. This year’s
campaign resulted in the development and dispersal of 60,000 seed balls across
Jaipur and Gurugram, reinforcing the Foundation’s commitment to sustainability
and United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 13: Climate Action.
Spanning from July 1 to August 26, 2025, the
initiative focused on rejuvenating barren and ecologically significant areas
including the Aravali Forest Area (Delhi–Faridabad Road), Jhalana
Leopard Safari, Shyampura Kacholiya, and Jagatpura. Seed balls of Peepal,
Kadam, Amaltas, and Babool were produced and dispersed to support
natural reforestation, soil enrichment, and biodiversity restoration.
The program saw participation from different house of
brands of CarDekho Group and nearly 400 external volunteers, along
with schools and community organizations. Key collaborations included Udayan
Care & Pragya Niketan Knowledge Centre (a CSR education initiative
by BOSCH India Foundation, implemented by PURE India Trust) in Jaipur for seed
ball production; L.N. School students who participated in seed
ball making; Rajasthan Scouts & Guides Training Centre students in
Jagatpura who joined seed bombing drives; and Save Aravali Trust
volunteers, who along with CarDekho’s internal team, carried out the
dispersal in Delhi.
Speaking on the initiative, Pihu Jain, Head of Girnar
Foundation, said:
“Sow to Grow is more than an environmental campaign—it is a collective
movement of action and hope. Building on the success of our first edition, this
year’s efforts reflect our deep commitment to Climate Action and biodiversity
restoration. With every seed ball, we are taking a small but powerful step
toward CarDekho Group’s vision of carbon neutrality and a sustainable future
for all.”
With its second edition, “Sow to Grow” has emerged as a
recurring flagship program of Girnar Foundation, continually expanding its
reach and impact while nurturing ecosystems and empowering communities to act
for the planet.
