Jaipur, October 2026.
KT brought the
strength, ambition and unity of India's salon industry to the national forefront
with the Indian Hair & Beauty Conference (IHBC), held on 6October 2026 at the
Jaipur Exhibition&ConventionCentre(JECC).Organised by KT under the
leadership of Dhruv Sayani, Managing Director & CEO of KT, in association
with the Hair & Beauty Federation (HBF), the conference drew more than
5,000 salon owners from 18 states and over 50 cities across India. Organisers
described the gathering as a historic first for a KT-led salon conference of
this scale in India.
The Hon'ble
Governor of Rajasthan, Shri Haribhau Bagde ji, inaugurated theconference. Smt.
Diya Kumari ji, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, attended as the
chief guest for the evening. Their participation brought significant
recognition to the salon fraternity and to the role of Indian beauty
enterprises in entrepreneurship, employment and economic growth.
Across the day, the overwhelming response
from the salon fraternity demonstrated the demand for a common platform that
connects professional education, business aspirations and industry
representation. By bringing salon owners from across the country into one
forum, KT and HBF created an opportunity to discuss shared challenges, exchange
knowledge and build a stronger collective voice for the sector.
The Governor's address highlighted the
importance of Indian enterprise, professional skills and the confidence of
homegrown brands to compete on the global stage. Reflecting the themes of Make
in India and Vocal for Local, the address recognised the value of bringing the
salon community together and supporting the development of an Indian beauty and
personal-care ecosystem with international ambition.
The Deputy Chief
Minister's address highlighted the contribution of the beauty and salon sector
to livelihoods, entrepreneurship and professional opportunity. Her remarks
reflected the importance of skills, women's participation and the growth of
Indian businesses, while recognising the value of a platform that brings
thousands of salon professionals together around a shared development agenda.
In his address,
Dhruv Sayani described IHBC as a historic landmark for salon unity and a
defining opportunity to strengthen the relationship between Indian professional
brands and the businesses that serve consumers every day. He emphasised that
the federation coming together on this scale should translate into sustained
cooperation, stronger salon businesses and greater confidence in professional,
high-quality Indian haircare.
Sayani called on the salon fraternity to
support Indian products and strengthen the hands of Indian brands, including
KT. He outlined his vision for KT to enter salons across India through a
partnership built around professional quality, education and mutual business
growth. The aim, he stressed, is to build a stronger salon ecosystem in which
brand growth and salon success reinforce one another.
Linking this
ambition to the Prime Minister's vision of Make in India and Vocal for Local,
Sayani emphasised that Indian products deserve a place on global shelves.
Supporting capable Indian brands in domestic salons, he said, can strengthen
the foundation for international expansion, encourage value creation within
India and contribute to the country's economy. He also called for greater
awareness ofgovernment schemes and skill-development opportunities relevant to
salon entrepreneurs and professionals.
The significance of IHBC extended beyond
attendance. The gathering brought geographically dispersed salon businesses
into a shared national conversation, connected industry unity with practical business
aspirations and placed Indian professional haircare at the centre of that
discussion. For KT, the conference marked an important step towards deepening
its relationship with the salon fraternity; for participating salon owners, it
offered a platform to learn, connect and articulate a collective vision for
growth.
Professional education, industry dialogue
and knowledge exchange reinforced the conference's focus on progress. The
participation of salon owners from 18 states and more than 50 cities demonstrated
the breadth of the response and the potential for collaboration across regional
markets. The event's scale and enthusiastic reception underlined the salon
community's willingness to come together for a stronger, more visible and more
organised industry.
KT described the conference as a major
success and a foundation for continued engagement with the salon fraternity.
With HBF bringing the community together and KT supporting the platform, IHBC
established a powerful message: salon unity, support for Indian innovation and
professional business growth can advance together. The Jaipur gathering set the
direction for an industry that seeks a stronger voice at homeand greater
recognition for Indian beauty brands around the world.
