As
part of its ongoing endeavour to inculcate road safety and good riding habits
amongst the public at large, Hero
MotoCorp Ltd., the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, today inaugurated
a state-of-the-art Children Traffic Training Park atRachakonda, in
association with the local Police.
Including
this new facility, Hero MotoCorp now has ninetraffic training parks across
India, spreading road safety awareness among all age groups, especially the
riders of tomorrow.
Mr. Jitender (IPS),Additional
Director General of Police, Law & Order, Telangana State, inaugurated the
Traffic Training Park, in the presence of Mr.
Mahesh M Bhagwat (IPS), Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, Mr. G SudheerBabu (IPS), Additional
CP-Traffic, Rachakonda, and Mr. Rajesh

Commenting
on the occasion, Mr. Vijay Sethi, Head – CSR, CIO
& CHRO, Hero MotoCorp said, "As the market leader

country through dedicated campaigns and initiatives. The inauguration of this Children Traffic
Training Park in Hyderabad is reflective of our persistent endeavours in this
direction. We also believe that imparting road safety awareness to children will
pave the way for making the country’s roads safer.”
This
Traffic Training Park is aimed at generating awareness about road safety
amongst schoolstudents in Hyderabad. With its unique riding simulators, the Park
offers a structured and highly-effective learning environment for children. The trained Safety Instructors at Park will also regularly
conduct road safety awareness programs for school students registered under
Road Safety Club.
Under
the aegis of its CSR initiative, Ride
Safe India, Hero MotoCorpconductsnationwide programs to promote road
safety. These programs are designed keeping in mind the Hero MotoCorp
philosophy of delivering safety along with products. ‘Safety’ is an integral
aspect of every realm of operations at Hero MotoCorp and through its widespread
pan-India dealer network, the Company engages with customers to inculcate road
safety awareness.
The
Company has been actively working with the state police departments in several
states to conduct ride-safe training programs. It already has Traffic Training Parks
in Gurugram, Delhi, Rourkela, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Nasik, Nagpur, and Bilaspur.
These Parks are equipped with Riding Simulators and other state-of-the-art
facilities, wherethe trained Safety Instructors conduct Road Safety awareness
programs for school/college students and other institutions alongwith local
Traffic Police on a regular basis.
Hero
MotoCorp also organises exclusive Ride Safe Programs on a regular basis for
many leading corporates across India to enhance safety of their two-wheeler
users. It has also introduced a Mobile Safety Van, which travels across
Gurugram city, and ensures access to students at remote locations, thus
expanding the reach of the programs.
