7th October, 2019: On Monday, 7th October Twitter launched the first of two videos starring icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas @priyankachopra as part of the latest instalment of its popular global video series #BehindTheTweets. The Desi Girl is the first Indian celebrity to go #BehindTheTweets and will reveal the weird and wonderful stories behind some of her most memorable Tweets.

People on Twitter love engaging with entertainment content, and nowhere are fans as adoring of their favourite celebrities, as they are in India. While fans love to follow them and engage with their Tweets, they don’t always know the stories (and secrets) behind their Tweets.

Twitter asked Priyanka Chopra Jonas to tell her fans what she was thinking when she Tweeted. 

Priyanka Chopra Jonas says,“I’ve used Twitter for quite some time now and it was so much fun to revisit my older tweets and remember the stories behind them with #BehindTheTweets. I think I’m going to do this every couple of years just to relive some of the fun, crazy moments in my life, much like I’ve been doing during promotions for my current film, The Sky is Pink. It’s like a timeline of your thoughts and emotions! “

In the second video, which will be Tweeted soon, Twitter asks Priyanka a few burning questions, and learns more about her latest movie. The Sky Is Pink, releasing on 11th October, which is produced by RSVP and Roy Kapur Films in association with SK Global and Chopra Jonas’ Purple Pebble Pictures, debuted at the recently concluded Toronto International Film Festival, also had a customized Twitter emoji, activated by the hashtags #TheSkyIsPink, #SkyIsPink, #TSIP and #PriyankaChopra. This custom emoji surprised and delighted fans from across the world, encouraging them to join the conversations about  the film.

Time and again, users are amused with witty, funny and often intriguing Tweets from their favorite entertainment personalities, with some of these even appearing as news headlines for the week. Twitter also hosts celebrities and artists for Q&A’s and live videos in the #BlueRoom, generating high engagement with the entertainment fraternity across the platform. Globally, #BehindTheTweet has collaborated with famous artists like Shawn Mendes (@ShawnMendes), Mindy Kaling (@MindyKaling), Chrissy Teigen (@ChrissyTeigen), the Jonas Brothers (@jonasbrothers) and Tom Hiddleston (@twhiddleston) among others. The series will go on to feature more celebrities who have managed to amuse audiences on the platform with their Tweets.
