Jaipur,

In keeping with its commitment to promote a
sporting culture, Hero MotoCorp, the largest manufacturer of motorcycles
and scooters in the world, has partnered with the Jaipur Police
Commissionerate, North District, to organize the Hero Cup 2022 - a
half-pitch cricket tournament.
This was yet another initiative
by the Jaipur Police, North District, and Hero MotoCorp to infuse and promote
communal harmony and solidarity, cultivate a culture of equality and
inclusivity, and develop an atmosphere of trust and cooperation between
local citizens and police forces in the region.
The Hero Cup 2022 commenced on
June 21st, 2022, witnessing the participation of 24 teams from different Thana
areas across Jaipur, North District. The final was played at Chaugan Stadium,
Jaipur, between the teams from Amer and Nahargarh areas, with Nahargarh winning
by six runs.
Commenting on the occasion, Dr.
Arun Jaura, Chief Technology Officer, Hero MotoCorp said, “Hero MotoCorp
believes in supporting and promoting sports as they transcend all boundaries.
With the title sponsorship of the Hero Cup 2022 we are continuing to build on
our commitment and also extending our association with the local authorities.
We deeply value our partnership with the Police Department of Rajasthan and
with such initiatives, we will keep strengthening this association.”
The final was graced by the
presence of Dr. Mahesh Joshi-Cabinet Minister, Rajasthan Government, Mr. Rafeeq
Khan-Chairman, Minority Commission, Mr. Anand Srivastava-Commissioner of
Police, Jaipur, GP Raju, Hero MotoCorp, and Ms. Avani Lakhera-Gold & Bronze
medalist of Tokyo Paralympics 2020.
