New Delhi, March 2023.
To empower India’s youth by extending numerous prospects for
international job opportunities across sectors, National Skill Development
Corporation’s 100% subsidiary, NSDC International has collaborated with one of the

employers can register at Kaushal
Mahotsav, International || Company Portal (nsdcdigital.org).
The initiative aims to elevate the profile and improve the
presence of India’s young talent in international markets. With mobility of
global talent, India’s skilled workforce will be extended toseveral other
destined markets which will provide meaningful job opportunities to the youth,
propelling India’s economic progress by recognising its talent.
The International Kaushal Mahotsav will be organised in a phased
manner and will include several crucial aspects for the holistic development of
the candidates including counselling, free screening, motivational sessions,
candidate and employee registrations, language testing, trade testing, and
mapping of prospective candidates for the program. The International Kaushal
Mahotsav will witness participation from several international employers, and the
registrations are open to all the interested candidates with any education
background.
Lauding
the initiative, Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO (Officiating), NSDC, “NSDC is working
with multiple international agencies to connect Indian youth with international
opportunities and this international recruitment drive is one amongst many such
initiatives in this direction. India has a long history of migration and as
globalization shapes the world, the Indian diaspora across the globe has
undergone a splendid change. Today, Indian talent is
playing a significant role in the success of global technology powerhouses and
has come to be known in variety of fields. It is no exaggeration to say that
Indians have ascended the corporate ladder around the world and have played
crucial roles in establishing some of the world’s most successful businesses. Along
with this, the challenge to churn talent in quick time has also brought with it
an opportunity to equip youth with opportunities that can help them find an
answer to their aspirations in distant lands.
And taking this
forward, along with our partners LTSU, we have come together to build this
unique platform, International Kaushal Mahotsav for employers and jobseekers to
provide access to India’s capable youth for meeting the best of international
employers, encouraging placements in global markets. To make sure that the
youth take full advantage of this world of opportunities, creating a
future-ready workforce is
imperative as this
holds the key to an economically
connected world. With this, at NSDCI, we will continue to build such
initiatives for our youth population by reimagining the current approach and creating
strong partnerships for international mobility, preparing the youth for future
of work, and revitalising the world economy.”
On the development, Dr. Sandeep Singh Kaura, Chancellor, LTSU and Advisor to NSDC
International, said, “India is known for providing skilled talent to various
countries to help them address their market demands and to further augment this
progress, we are delighted to partner with NSDC International to support the
growth of India’s youth. Lamrin Tech Skills University is known for harmonising technology
with applied skills, addressing the crucial skill gap and nurturing global leaders.
With our rich experience, I am certain that our collaboration with NSDCI to
organise India’s first International Kaushal Mahotsav will provide several overseas job
opportunities across sectors to our talented young minds, making
them confident and capable for fulfilling their aspirations and matching the
demands of the global industry.”
The mega international recruitment drive will witness
participation from international employers from USA, Canada, UK, Europe, GCC,
Western and South Asia, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and East and South Asia
to provide different job roles listed on the portal in sectors like automation,
logistics, production, electronics, apparel, tourism, Healthcare, retail,
hospitality, facility management, construction, Food & Beverage, Marine,
Agriculture & Horticulture and more.
To apply for the job, candidates will have to go through multiple
rounds, including preliminary, final, and closing ceremony, to receive a job
offer letter on the spot. Post the selection, the candidates will also be
supported with a pre-departure training. The recruitment process will be
conducted ethically and transparently and NSDC International will provide the
necessary training along with services such as counselling, foreign language
certification, and post-placement support to the candidates. To know about the

A report noted that the demand for sectoral demand for Indian
migrants would increase over the next five years, especially in GCC, Europe,
the USA, and Australia. Therefore, moving towards standard mechanisms for skill
gap mapping and a global skill harmonization framework is significant to
improve the incomes of the migrating workforce.
