New Delhi, 04 April 2023.
National
Skill Development Corporation (NSDC),and Fenice Energy, a leading provider of
renewable energy solutions, have commenced a partnership to provide upskilling
and micro-entrepreneurship opportunities in the green energy sector. The
partnership will aid and accelerate in the transition to cleaner sources of
energy in our country. A Memorandum ofUnderstanding (MoU) was signed to ensure
that more than 1-lakh learners are trained in various skill sets required in
the renewable energy sector.
The
program is specifically aimed at two key development objectives for India –
creating robust opportunities to develop jobs/micro-entrepreneurs across the
country;and tackling the climate crisis. Through this partnership both entities
will identify candidates for upskilling and coach them through a mix ofan e-learning
platform and practical coursework;and ensure placement of all the graduating learners.
The program is directed to train the learners in Sales & Marketing modules,
Installation and Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance and Software
Design.
With
advancements in renewable energy, the partnership is designed to start and
pilot with solar and over a period of time advance to storage and hydrogen as
well.Engagements with various training partners and skilling agencies are
underway to mobilize candidates, deliver high quality training, and ensure absorption
into a ‘green workforce’
