India Mobile Congress 2023 Concludes to a Grand Success with over 1.5 lakh participants from 67 countries attending Asia’s Largest Technology Forum

Over 1.5 lakh record number of participants from 67 countries participated in the 7th Edition of Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) 2023, the largest telecom, media and technology forum in Asia, jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). The 3-day exhibition-cum-forum held from October 27-29 under the theme of Global Digital Innovation was inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in the presence of Shri Ashwani Vaishnav, Union Minister for Communications and Shri Devusinh Chauhan. It was also attended by industry stalwarts Shri Akash M Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd, Shri Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Enterprises and Shri Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of Aditya Birla Group.

 

PM Modi also announced the ‘100 5G lab Initiative’ to develop 5G applications and build a 6G-ready ecosystem in the country. The forum witnessed over 620 use cases displayed across Technology & Telecom, Govt & PSUs and Startups Sector. A notable addition to this year’s IMC was Aspire, a pioneering start-up initiative showcasing around 400 startups from across the country.

 

Leading Indian companies like Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea, BSNL, TCS, L&T, HFCL, Tanla, VVDN, Tejas, Optiemus and others, notable international brands like Ericsson, Intel, Nokia, Cisco, Accenture, AMD, Qualcomm, Giesecke & Devrient, MediaTek, Red Hat, Bosch, VMware, Ciena and others were also present at IMC 2023. Several government departments like the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, ISRO, Powergrid and others; industry associations like ELCINA, TSSC and other; academic institutions like IIT Hyderabad, IIT (BHU) Varanasi, BITS Pilani, Sri Balaji University, Pune and others were also present at the exhibition.

India Mobile Congress 2023 also recognized outstanding achievements in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Telecom, Media, and Technology (TMT) sectors in over 16 diverse categories at the coveted IMC 2023 awards.
