The Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister, Diya
Kumari today visited the 13th edition of the Great Indian Travel Bazaar at the
Novotel Convention Center. During her visit, she went around the exhibition and
received updates on the ongoing B2B meetings between inbound tour operators and
tourism product owners. She expressed appreciation for the remarkable growth of
this mega inbound tourism mart, highlighting its significance as the first
major tourism event of the new financial year, poised to boost the tourism sector.
Furthermore, she underscored the need for infrastructure development to match
the increasing footfalls, urging both government intervention and cooperation
from stakeholders to fortify the tourism landscape.
Also present on the occasion were Principal Secretary, Department of Tourism, Ms. Gayatri Rathore, Director, Department of Tourism, Ms. Rashmi Sharma, Chairman, FICCI Tourism & Culture Committee, Dipak Deva, Past President, FICCI, CMD, Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, Jyotsna Suri and President FHTR & HRAR, Kuldeep Singh Chandela.
It is to be noted that the international mart has been organised by the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). It is supported by leading national and regional associations like the Hotel & Restaurant Association of Rajasthan (HRAR), Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA) and Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators (RATO). There will be around 10,000 pre-scheduled, structured B2B meetings in two days. Around 250 foreign tour operators from 52 countries and State Tourism Board representatives from 10 states are also participating in the event.
