On Friday, December 20, 2024, a truck loaded with chemicals collided with a tanker carrying LPG and other vehicles including a CNG tanker parked outside a petrol pump. This resulted in a massive fire that killed 14 people so far, injured several people and the engulfed over 37 vehicles.
Two out of the 37 vehicles that caught fire were insured with Shriram General Insurance. These 2 vehicles were owned by Mr. VivekJatav - TATA Motors – Nexon XZ (O), registration no. RJ45CT6567 & Mr. Kirti Bhati; Maruti Suzuki - Swift Dzire ZDI, registration no. RJ14CV8478.
As soon as the company received the news of the accident and casualty, it proactively put it into action its claims settlement team and settled both claims fully, immediately.
