Reinforcing its
commitment to promoting health, hygiene, and sanitation awareness among young
minds,Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) today announced the successful culmination
of the Annual District-Level Quiz and Drawing Competitionunder ABCD
(A Behavioural Change Demonstration) program, held at Raita Bhavana,
Raichur.
Launched in
2015, the ABCD program has played a key role in promoting behavioural change
around sanitation and hygiene across Karnataka, with a strong focus on the
Ramanagara district. Revitalized in August 2023, the initiative has now been
implemented across400 government schools in Raichur, positively
impacting over65,347 students. Aligned with the national "Swachh
Bharat Abhiyan" mission, the program strengthens India's commitment to
building a cleaner and healthier future.
To promote student
engagement and community development, the competition served as a
platform for open discussions on sanitation and hygiene, challenging
taboos and fostering a spirit of healthy competition. Enthusiastic participation
marked the event, with students demonstrating their knowledge and creativity
through quiz rounds and artwork focused on sanitation and hygiene. Winners were
honoured with awards, motivating them to continue championing cleanliness and
healthy practices.The competition also highlighted the program's impact, as
students actively engaged in spreading awareness within their families and
communities, exemplifying a successful child-to-community approach.
