Foundation organized She Rides
For Safety, a Women’s Night Rallyin Gurugram. The rally was flagged off by Dr.
Arpit Jain,Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dr. Rajesh Mohan, Deputy
Commissioner, Traffic Policeand
Mr. Sanjay Bhan, Vice President, Global Business & Product Planning, Hero MotoCorp. Ms. Sonia, Station House Officer and women police force also graced
the occasion supporting the cause.
The Rally brought
together 150 women ridersand was
apowerful celebration of safety, confidence and inclusivity on the roads. The
women riders took charge of a 9-kilometre route through Gurugram’s streets
during late evening hours.
Launched in
January 2026 to coincide with National
Road Safety Month, Ride Safe India
is a three-month campaign rooted in 4Es of Road Safety - Education,
Engineering, Enforcement and Emergency Care as defined by the Ministry of Road
Transport & Highways (MoRTH).Through trainings, awareness drives, school
activations and citizen-led activations, the campaign is helping embed safe
riding as a collective social responsibility.
Commenting on the initiative, Latika Taneja, Head - Corporate Communications, Corporate Affairs
& CSR, Hero MotoCorp said,“As the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, with
millions riding Hero MotoCorp’s vehicles every day, road safety is not simply a
priority, it is a responsibility that defines us. Through our Ride Safe India campaign,
we are working to shape a culture of safety by driving sustained behaviour
change across communities. Today’s women’s rally reaffirms our belief that safe
mobility is fundamental to true empowerment because when women move freely and
safely, societies move forward with them.”
As part of the
initiativefourteen women traffic police
officers were also honored for their exemplary contribution to safe mobility
thereby celebrating women who lead by example in making India’s roads safer for
all.
Speaking at the event,Dr. Arpit Jain, Deputy
Commissioner of Police, Headquarters, Gurugram Police said, “Initiatives like the Ride Safe
India go far beyond road safety awareness, they send a decisive message that
our roads belong to every citizen, at every hour. We are proud to stand
alongside Hero MotoCorp in creating a safer, more inclusive public space. As a
department, we remain committed to partnering with organizations that translate
intent into visible, on-ground impact.”
The Women’s Night Rally marks a key chapter
in Ride Safe India’s inclusive road safety mission. The initiative was anchored
in a resolve to place women at the center of India’s road safety narrative.
