Visakhapatnam, 12 December, 2019: Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd (KNPL), one of the leading
paint companies in India has unveiled an exclusive installation as a dedication
to the city of Vishakhapatnam near the Aircraft
Museum on Rama Krishna Beach Road. This
installation was unveiled under the aegis of Nerolac’s novel public outreach
programme “Nerolac Breathing City”
as the initiative’s first symbolic representation. The installation was unveiled by Mr. Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao, Chairperson, VMRDA and Mr. P. Koteswara
Rao, I.A.S. Metropolitan Commissioner, VMRDA & Vice-Chairman, VKPCPIR

Bachlaus, AVP – Marketing, Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd. as a dedication to the city, where Kansai Nerolac is also
building a paint manufacturing facility in the Achutapuram
area within Vishakhapatnam district.
“Nerolac Breathing City” programme, aims to contribute towards creating transformative
living spaces that are functional and aesthetically appealing. Under this
programme, the brand is looking to draw attention to and promote conversations
about the need for better urban spaces, living conditions and public health. . Further,
as part of its strong commitment towards nurturing a beautiful and healthy
future for our generations to come, the brand has consistently worked towards
offering healthy home paints and product interventions with pioneering steps such
as making paints lead free, low VOC (volatile organic compounds), fungal
resistant and anti-bacterial paints etc. in vibrant colours.
Talking about the initiative, Mr. P. Koteswara Rao, I.A.S. Metropolitan Commissioner, VMRDA & Vice-Chairman, VKPCPIR Visakhapatnam said, “We are delighted to be associated with Kansai Nerolac Paints for their “Breathing City” initiative. during the design and development of the installation. We have further
incorporated colours through an architectural intervention and ideated a design
which will serve as an active reminder of our responsibilities towards the
environment and our future generations.”
Kansai Nerolac Paints Ltd (KNPL) has collaborated
with Studio Emergence to design and bring alive this unique dedication to
Vizag. The multi-coloured & vibrant installation which also doubles up as
public seating space in front of the museum has been curated by young
architects Seeja
Sudhakaran and Khushbu Davda..
To further push this goal of building colourful and
healthier living spaces, Nerolac seeks to drive conversations as well as
generate public participation as part of the initiative.
