With the completion of 3 glorious years of
operating in Jaipur, Rapido has emerged as one of the most preferred rides of
the city. Clocking a 70% Y-o-Y growth, the city contributes 80% to overall
demand from the state, making it the top contributor, followed by Kota and
Udaipur. Currently, Rajasthan contributes around 10% of Rapido’s pan India
demand.
As the largest bike taxi player and the 3rd
largest ride-hailing platform in India, Rapido has been revolutionizing the
concept of ride-sharing in the country and made intra-city travel much
accessible, affordable and convenient. The platform has servedmore than 8 lakh
customers and has been catering to over 1 lakh Captains in Jaipur.
The frequency of people using Rapido has seen
widespread growth in the last three years in Jaipur. Students, tourists,
working professionals, housewives, senior citizens from the city exhibit an
inclination towards adopting Rapido as one of their preferred choices of ride.The
platform has also witnessed a growth of 30% in its female customer base. Providing
economical, high quality ride facilities for daily commuters, Rapido receives 5000
new customers on a daily basis.
Meanwhile,
Rapido has been a means of livelihood to over 90,000 Rapido Captains from
Jaipur alone. So far, 5,000 Captains have earned more than INR 9 lakhs, 10,000
Captains have earned more than INR 7 lakhs. 25,000 Captains have already earned
more than INR 5 lakhs. Voluntarily, people from all walks of life are working
as a Captain either full time supporting their families or part-time managing
dual responsibilities.
