Apex Professional University (APU) Organized State-Level Seminar on 'The Challenges of Teacher Education in Future Scenarios'

GUWAHATI, India, Nov. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The state-level seminar was conducted by the Apex Professional University (APU) about the 'Challenges of the teacher education in future scenarios' recently. It was organized by the School of Education and Social Sciences. The iconic place was the University Campus, located in the smart city of Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh. The APU is the educational institution with an amazing social message, to contribute towards a fair, effective and sustainable society who are well equipped to conduct research in the field of Education and the challenges faced by the teaching fraternity in particular.

Acharya Dhanwant Singh, the hon'ble Founder and Chancellor of APU, inaugurated the State-Level Seminar by lighting the lamp. He emphasized the achievements of the APU and highlighted major areas of accomplishment. According to Acharya Dhanwant Singh, "Education is compulsory for the development of an individual and society, for without it, there would be loss of knowledge and character, for all ages". The state-level seminar was presided by the hon'ble Vice-chancellor of APU, Dr.(Maj) Ashok Kumar.

The state-level seminar started with the grand and splendid procession followed by the welcome speech. The Hon'ble Chief Guest for this seminar was Shri Biren Dutta, Principal, District Institute of Education and Training. According to Shri Biren Dutta, "Education is the ultimate key to success in life and teachers make an ever lasting impact on the students". People greeted the chief guest with praise, as he started the speech. Also in attendance were experts like Shri Rajesh Kumar, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pasighat, delivered his opinions on 'Present Challenges in Teacher Education from School to Higher Level'. This was followed by an amazing speech by Dr. Sony Dupat, Assistant Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat, about the 'Role of ICT in Education, Development Opportunities and Challenges'. Mr. Tony Janoh, Assistant Professor, Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat, threw light on the 'Innovation in Pedagogy'. The final session on the 'Education for Special Groups' was chaired by Dr. G. Manjunath, Associate Professor, Director of Academics and Accreditation, Head, School of Education and Social Sciences, APU, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh.

The participant certificates were given to participants and students. Furthermore, the state-level seminar concluded with the vote of thanks, followed by the national anthem. It is a matter of great pride that APU is emerging as one of the best university in the North-Eastern part of India.
