India’s first private sector electronic agrimandi AgriBazaar is now registered for selling the procurement of India’s leading co-operatives NAFED and HAFED. Both these co-operatives commenced sales on a non-exclusive and are accessing the e-mandi platform to reach out to a larger number of millers, processors and corporate buyers. The electronic transactions will bring speed, transparency and access to a broader market for both the players. Buyers can register or download the agribazaar app and start buying.
Agribazaar has received encouraging response in its first month with over 40,000 MT of buying and selling on the platform of Rs. 150 crores value. Many processors, millers and large corporates already registered on the platform have benefitted, and additional registrations are happening regularly.
National Agricultural Co-operative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) and Haryana State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation Ltd. (HAFED) are amongst India’s oldest and largest farmer co-operative bodies. Since inception, they are helping in marketing and selling the produce of the Indian farmer. It is a matter of prestige for agribazaar to associate with them for ensuring better, faster and transparent sales of agri-produce. Currently, the focus is on mustard and chana; other commodities are in the process of being added.

We will provide value-added services like online progress, payments status, logistics, storage and finance facilities. The hassle-free customer experience and peace of mind is a key reason why we have seen increased traction in our platform. I believe larger, and state co-operatives will join our platform. Our electronic mandi will ensure higher transparency, better price realisation and customer service delight empowering the Indian small farmer.”
