OYO Hotels & Homes, one of the world’s leading hotel chains today announced the elevation of Ankit Tandon to Global Chief Business Officer of OYO Hotels & Homes. This is in line with the company’s continuous commitment to building a resurgent OYO by strengthening its leadership bench and creating a pool of strategic talent based on meritocracy to help the company achieve its goals of ensuring sustained growth, being fiscally deeper, maintaining operational excellence, and creating a culture of innovation. Originally from Jaipur, Ankit has been part of the OYOs CXO leadership team since 2016 and in his new role, will lead the setup of OYOs Global Business Services and Business Performance Management teams. This will be in addition to the Global Project Management Office (GPMO) responsibilities he has been leading since October 2019.
The role of Global Business Services (GBS) will be to integrate technology into processes and deliver efficiency in the finance, legal and HR teams across the organisation whereas the Business Performance Management (BPM) team will work closely with market CEOs and their teams to help them learn about global best practices, external and internal benchmarks, and in turn help them deliver their operating plans. Additionally, the team will also help the Group CFO and the FP&A team with documentation, reports, and updates to our company’s Board and investors.
Over the years, Ankit has successfully built
multiple new capabilities and businesses for OYO, such as Operations,
Transformation, Repairs and Maintenance, Procurement & Supply Chain,
Operated Hotels Business, etc. He has also delivered several large
cross-geography and cross-functional projects at a brisk pace and with a
significant financial impact.

Ankit has been with OYO Hotels & Homes since
August 2015. Prior to that, he has worked with McKinsey & Company and ITC
Limited. He is an alumnus of the Indian School of Business and IIT Madras.
