New
Delhi, 28th October 2022.
1K, a
hyperlocal omnichannel grocery chain headquartered in Gurugram, has announced
that it has registered approximately a 50% increase (compared to the Q2'23
monthly average) in its average monthly sales this Diwali. The grocery chain
has reported that its Kirana partners, especially in Rajasthan and Haryana,
have exhibited impressive performance this festive season. 1K's efforts in
empowering small-town unorganized Kirana stores across the country through an
omnichannel and franchise led approach have resulted in a tremendous increase
in its partners' monthly income.
Ramawatar
Saini, the owner of Shri Ram Kirana Store in Birawanda(Dausa), Rajasthan, also
a 1K partner, doubled his earnings by fulfilling customers' demands this
Diwali. Like many partners associated with 1K for a long time, he has
significantly increased his earnings while retaining a strong focus on customer
service. Similarly, Surender Kumar from Bhiwani, Haryana has also benefited
from the association with 1K. In response to the remarkable increase in his
monthly revenue, he said, "Our partnership with 1K has helped us to gain a
deeper understanding of the grocery retail market. Moreover, the confidence
instilled in us by 1K continually drives us to achieve higher goals and widen our
reach among consumers. We are delighted with the sales witnessed during Diwali
and expect that the upcoming months will also bring cheer in the form of record
sales and income. We would also like to thank 1K for assisting us and guiding
us to achieve a competitive edge in the market."
To
transform the Kirana stores and augment the income of its Kirana partners, 1K
works directly with its Kirana partners through a community led approach. With
the increasing penetration of the big players in the market, the kirana
ecosystem is facing a tough competition. 1K’s franchise-led strategy
distinguishes itself from the competition by offering lifetime franchise
opportunities to all its partners. Besides offering comprehensive training to
its partners, 1K also empowers them to leverage the finer nuances of its online
grocery shopping app's functionality and customer service to stay one-step
ahead of the competitors.
Commenting
on the growth and success of 1K partners, Kumar Sangeetesh, Founder & CEO,
1K, said, "We are thrilled to have witnessed an increase of 80% in the
average sales among our partners in Rajasthan. Despite our massive footprint in
Haryana, it has also witnessed close to 30% growth during the festive season.
As we continue to connect Kirana stores with wider audiences, we aim to enrich
their discovery and improve their affordability, accessibility and
assortment."
